ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
I was fortunate to see this beautiful Blue Winged Kookaburra in Hydeaway Bay, an hour north of Airlie Beach. I was mesmerised and inspired by her striking blue colourings, never seeing this species of kookaburra before in Brisbane. 
I painted her against a soft bokeh style background, wanting to make her beauty the focal point. This intensified the sharp detailing of her feathers and featured her intense colourings.
